The Hurt Locker

This week I went to see the Hurt Locker. Not the shoot-and-explode-a-lot action movie I expected, but instead a very intimate & intense emotional portrait of soldiers on a Bomb Squad in Iraq. The unbearable suspense had me biting my fingernails and sitting on the edge of my chair for 2 hours straight, and upon leaving the cinema, I couldn't stop thinking about what war (and more specifically bombs) can do with a nation, and with the soldiers that are cleaning up the mess. Definitely go and see it!
